Arbor Material Handling is seeking qualified candidates for a Battery Service Technician position that will focus on servicing forklift batteries at customer locations. Arbor is looking for a driven individual who is interested in growing with the Battery Power Division at Arbor.
BATTERY SERVICE TECHNICIAN DUTIES
- Perform in-field Scheduled Maintenance and battery studies
- Complete detailed work orders; Maintain a log of completed work and provide concise and accurate notes describing the work performed
- Communicate findings and any concerning results of service with customer
- Review the next steps required for a safe & efficient operation
- Maintain Battery Power Division truck and equipment
- Manage multiple work orders simultaneously and adhere to deadlines
- Knowledge of battery systems, basic mechanical and/or automotive maintenance repairs
- Basic computer skills which include use of Microsoft Outlook email, internal systems and web applications
- Excellent customer service skills
- Problem Solving skills; identify the root cause and eliminate the problem from repeating
- Customer service skills
- Ability and aptitude to learn company systems and applications relating to work tasks (specific systems training will be provided)
- Ability to remain focused while working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to lift, push or pull 50 lbs. and above as needed
- Flexibility and mobility sufficient to walk and/or stand on a continual basis, to stoop or reach 3 feet above the head and 3 feet laterally, and to climb ladders and stairs
- Availability to work overtime when needed.

- High School Diploma or GED required
- Prior experience working as a battery repair technician highly preferred but will train as needed
- Confident computer skills are required; training on job-related applications will be provided
- Clean driving record; MVR report with satisfactory driving record is required for employment
