Business Development Representative - Willow Grove

The objective of the Business Development Representative (BDR) is to represent Arbor Material Handling in a highly professional manner by aggressively and systematically prospecting to develop new business with an initial focus on our Battery Power Division and service contracts.


  • Develop sales plan for penetrating mainly prospective clients and some assigned accounts including strategy, tactics and required support
  • Willingness to cultivate relationship beyond initial sale to continually grow the business
  • Develop and strengthen existing client relationships; responsible for account management
  • Increase sales volume through strategic prospecting and territory management
  • Manage day-to-day activity and detailed notes through CRM
  • Remain current on product offerings and industry trends
  • Research, determine and provide solutions to exceed expectations
  • Develop thorough product knowledge and conduct equipment demonstrations
  • Provide regular and ad hoc reports to leadership
  • Develop into Account Manager over 12 – 18-month period


  • Minimum 2 years' sales experience; Industry experience desired but not required
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Strong Presentation skills and Professional Manner
  • Highly competitive, self-motivated and a team player
  • Goal oriented with capacity and drive to reach and exceed goals
  • Possess the hunter mentality with ability to build continuing relationships
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to overcome objections and resistance to change
