Arbor held its first annual Customer Open House on Friday October 6th, 2017.  It was an opportunity for our customers to come and tour our facility, learn about new products and connect on a personal level in addition to furthering the already established business relationship.  The open house was a collaboration between all of the different departments here at Arbor.  The open house went very well in terms of customer participation and positive feedback.  We had different stations set up so our guests could interact with each department within Arbor.  The entire team worked together to make this event a great success!

Two trainers from Raymond were in attendance to demonstrate the new, industry first Virtual Reality (VR) which will hit the market in early 2018.  The VR simulates hands-on operator trainin, allowing for the operator to experience a simulated operation without moving the unit. Sometimes during hands on training, an operator (especially a new operator) may hit something, so the VR provides a tremendous opportunity for practical experience without the risk of any warehouse damage.  The VR was the hit of the open house.  Everyone ranging from Arbor employees, to clients as well as kids that were here, enjoyed the VR. VR is the wave of the future in material handling and Raymond is leading the way.

I enjoyed seeing the Arbor team working together.  We all understand the concept of TEAM; Together Everyone Achieves More.  The Arbor philosophy is built upon keeping the customer first and demonstrating integrity, pride and professionalism in all that we do.  That philosophy was evident this past Friday.  I was proud to be part of the Arbor team.  The Open house was well thought out and well put together.  I’m sure the guests felt welcomed and appreciated.  It’s good for our clients to know that we appreciate their business and don’t take them for granted.  I am already looking forward to our open house next year, building more relationships and having even more guests at the next year’s event.
